Our estate Dunn Forest Vineyard is proud to be LIVE Certified Sustainable and Salmon Safe
” I think of sustainability as a three legged stool – how your treat the earth, how you treat your employees and how you treat your customers. It drives all of your decisions and becomes how you think.” Mary Olson – Owner
LIVE – Low Input Viticulture and Enology
Airlie Winery’s Dunn Forest Estate Vineyard is proud to be one of the 320 vineyards, 10,913 vineyard acres and 26,053 farm acres.
Since 1999, LIVE has independently certified the sustainable practices of winegrowers in the Pacific Northwest, using the latest in university research and internationally accredited standards. LIVE provides regional education to preserve the human and natural resources of the wine industry.
At its heart, LIVE is simple: it is the personal commitment of principled Northwest people to “do the right thing” for the environment and society. But LIVE is much more than good intentions. LIVE is a comprehensive set of rigorously applied, science-based standards and procedures that ensure both wine grape farming (viticulture) and wine making production (enology) are as sustainable and have as minimal an environmental impact as possible.
